Once I'm signed up what can I do?

Currently you are able to take online donations, blog about your fundraiser and track who has donated. If you have additional features that you would like to see added please put them in the suggestion box. I'm always looking for new ideas and ways to expand the site.

Online donations

What payment service are you using?

Currently I am using Paypal. They are well known and it's very easy to sign up for a personal account. If I run across something better then I will certainly look into using it.

How do I setup my Paypal account?

If you don't already have Paypal setup go do that now. Then all you have to do is make sure that the email address you registered with Thanksforyoursupport.com is the same email address that is tied to your Paypal account. If it's not change it now. Once you've done that edit your profile and where it says 'Do you have a Paypal account?' answer yes and save your profile. That's it!

Do you keep credit card numbers on your servers?

No! One of the benefits of using Paypal is that the entire transaction happens on their servers so thanksforyoursupport.com never sees any credit card or other sensitive information. A side benefit is that thanksforyoursupport.com does not add any additional per transaction charges.

Is my donation tax deductible??

I don't know. To find out if your donation is tax deductible, please contact the person you are donating to. Just because someone is on this site does not mean they have been screened or checked out in any way. I would recommend only donating to people and organizations that you know or are recommended by friends or family.

How can I increase my donations

The biggest way to increase donations is through awareness. Be sure to send your page to as many people as possible. Although you might receive donations from strangers on the internet this site was really designed for friends and family to donate. Also, the more often they visit the site the more likely they are to donate so anything you can do to drive them to the site will help. Blogging is a great way to get people back to the site. Friends and Family love to hear about how your efforts are going and it's a great way to communicate with everybody.
